When you come to Mauritius it is paramount that you come to the beach and enjoy the ocean bliss and warm sunset. Sipping on a coconut and getting your tan (if you want one) It is an island after all! Beaches all around you but which ones are the best to go to?


1. Flic en Flac (West)


White sandy beach and one of the longest on the island. It is buzzing on the weekends with many locals and it is full! Music is played, with dancing, drinking and eating! Gorgeous sunsets in the evening! It is the 2nd tourist area on the island after Grand Baie. It sits on a main road with many restaurants, snacks, bars, apartments and hotels.




2. Le Morne (South-West)


Clean beach, crystal clear water with breathe taking views. Brabant majestic mountain sits behind you when on the beach. There is also horse riding along the beach. It has a history that represents the fight of the slaves for freedom.






3. Blue Bay (South)


Beautiful crystal clear water with live coral! A popular beach which gets busy with locals. It has white soft sand, stunning to the eye and snorkelling is highly recommended here.







4. Tamarin Bay (West)


An authentic beach with dog walkers and joggers and people who like to relax and come and chill and watch the sunset. The sea has waves so it is a fun beach. It can remain pretty empty most of the time. Boat companies offer trips. It is dark sand and very thin which sticks to skin and clothes easily



5. Ile aux Cerfs (East)


An unforgettable and unique beach experience. It is a privately owned island near the east coast of Mauritius and a boat is required to cross over to it. It has super white sandy beaches, with beautiful lagoon with a wide range of restaurants, water sports and land activities.





6. Grande Baie (North)


This is a number 1 tourist beach in the North! Which also has a buzzing nightlife. A white sand beach with loads of boat activity. Turquoise blue water. A Super lively beach with locals and tourists.
